Advice and support for Healthy Homes.
Owner-occupied, rental property, apartment, city or rural, we have advice for all situations. Our advice is independent and evidence-based. We can point you to trusted verified websites so you can make informed decisions to match your needs. 3 Approaches Direct Advice: We believe in korero - basic person-to-person dialog - the way humans have learned for thousands of years. The conversation can be done over the phone, by email, Face Book, Zoom, or whatever. The goal is to answer peoples' direct questions, explore follow-up questions, and provide a more holistic perspective on housing. Supporting Member Organisations: We offer online trainings for staff of member organisations across the country, which could include social workers, home health nurses, environmental health officers, or property managers. These are the people who get out into the community and we want them equipped to offer the best possible advice. Group Calls: Combining the two approaches above we believe the best overall results come from scheduling virtual home visits where staff from a member organisation can meet with residents in their homes and contact us over a digital platform for a 30-minute korero. |
